A new café has arrived at one of Copenhagen’s most happening streets, Jægersborggade. Gonzo feels spacious and cozy. With large windows, plenty of plants and space, the café is an airy den. It is almost as if it was designed like a household living room so kids and kidults could run around freely as adults and grown-up (alike) could have some conversations.
On the menu are plenty of organic and natural options, such as craft beer by Herslev Bryghus, some natural wines, organic filtered coffee and herbal tea, as well as a host of cakes. Organic breakfast plates are served daily while brunch dishes are available on weekends.
What makes it more special is its weekly community dinner on Monday at 100kr/adult, 75kr/child from 3-7, and complimentary for the little ones under 3. Naturally, the grower friendly place serves plenty of vegetarian bites for those who do not eat meat, or are a support of the green Monday movement. Whether you are simply visiting the capital city of Denmark, new in town or have lived here for your whole life, Gonzo offers an authentic communal /social dining experience (Fællesspisning) that has been recently trending in Copenhagen.
